INDIA WON THE 1st MATCH

Indian team made sure to get the match in thier hands as they took control while batting and made sure that the match ends in a win for them. Chasing a score of mere 246 captain Dhoni took the charge and after Sachin went cheapely for just 5 runs he and two of his finds in the Indian team Suresh Raina and Gautam Gambhir made half centuries each to take a lead of 1-0 i nthe series. Gautam Gambhir is in the form of his life he really batted well and made sure that he with Raina creates a good platform for Dhoni and Yuvi to come and exploit the Lankan spinners and win the match.

Sanath Jayasurya was awarded the man of the match for his outstanding 107 runs. He still looks fitter than ever at the age of 39 and posts real trouble for Indian bowlers today.

So, all in all a good amtch to watch. Next match is on 31st Jan 2009.

INDIA Vs SRI LANKA

Indian and Sri lankas team are supposed to play 5 ODIs and 1 t20 match in the present schedule of the Indian tour of Sri Lanka. Today is the first match of the series India won the toss and elected to field and have managed to restrict the Lankans to mere 246 runs.

But the eye catcher was Sanath Jayasurya's ton. He made hundred at the age of 39 years probably that would be another kind of a record which nobody has done before. Catch us for the latest on this series.

GOOD BYE MATT HAYDEN

Australian Opener Matthew Hayden shake hands and says I'm Done. Yes, he has raised his voice to say goodbye. This came straight after he was dropped both from ODI and T 20 squad. He played many matches and was the author of Australian victory under his captian Ponting. Started his career under Steven Waugh but yes he was known to the world after his spectacuar performance in the past two world cups.

He has given many good memories to Australian cricket and to all cricket lovers.

This Blog really salutes his effort for the game.

AUSSIE FIGHTS BACK

The third test was all about how to handle pressure for Ponting and Co. The match was a thriller ending just ten balls before a scheduled draw. Aussies set a huge target in front of the Proteas keeping the injured captain (G. Smith) in mind. But, yes I am glad to write this that the South African team played to the best of their skills but yes the better team on the day was the Australian team.

The eye catcher was the desperate Aussie bowlers for a wicket , worried Ricky Ponting and above when the team needed he came out to bat with a fractured finger he was Graeme Smith. But, he wud feel bad as aggressive Ntini also cud not save the match for the country with him.

But, yes by winning the test series 2-1 south africans has raised many for the australian cricket now.

Cheers !

South Africa Washes Ausies Down-N-Out

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.

Great news for cricket fans as South Africa plays Ausies down n out in the 1st two test matches of their Australian tour. As expected that proteas did all the home work that was needed after humiliating loss to England when they were in England. But, yes these wins counts more than any other victory said the South African captain. Really the game was worth watching as South Africa sucessfully chased a huge score in the fourth innings.

Pressure now increases on Aussie captain Ricky Pointing and now media also reports that it could be possible by the end this season many big names would fall down under a list of scrutinity. Already Brett Lee and Symonds are taking a bit of media blows as they are charged of under performing in the first two test matches.

Lets see what happens in the third match.

Till then, cheers !
